SAM SYSTEMS

Upgrade of Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) systems such as:SAM S-125 (Pechora, Neva, SA-3 Goa); SAM 2K12M1 (2,3) (Kvadrat, Kub, SA-6 Gainful); SAM S-75M3 (Volga,Volkhov, SA-2 Guidline), designed for protecting political and administrative centres, strategic civil and military sites, friendly forces against various means of enemy air attack.

STRATEGICAL GOALS OF SAM SYSTEMS

Upgraded SAM Systems will be capable efficiently destroy strategic, tactical and army aircraft, high speed reconnaissance aircraft, drifting aerostats, helicopters and cruise missiles with radar cross-section of 0.1 m2 and above.

S-125-ML (Pechora-ML)

Upgrade of Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) system S-125 (Pechora, Neva, SA-3 Goa) up to the level of S-125-ML “Pechora-ML” is designed for protecting political and administrative centres, strategic civil and military sites, friendly forces against various means of enemy air attack.
Composition: missile guidance radar SNR-125-ML (consists of UNV-ML antenna post and UNK-ML control cabin); SM-RB-125-ML missile battery (consists of four launchers 5P73-ML); autonomous power supply system SAES-ML; set of power cables KS-ML; set of control cables KU-ML; spare parts, tools and accessories kit.
S-125-ML may additionally include: upgraded target acquisition radars, such as P-18ML, MARS-L, PRV-16ML; step-down transformer unit providing connection to high-voltage lines; wheeled chassis for system transportation; technical battery.

2K12-ML (Kvadrat-ML)

Upgrade of Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) system 2K12M1 (2,3) (Kvadrat, Kub, SA-6 Gainful) up to the level of 2K12-ML “Kvadrat-ML” is performed to meet the following objectives: Restore service life of the SAM to 15 years by replacement of 99% of old component base with the new one; Increase combat capabilities through application of high performance computers, ability to conduct effective combat operations and destroy all classes of air targets in complex jamming environment; Increase reliability up to 1500 hours of MTBF; Reduce power consumption; Reduce the crew; Simplify SAM operation procedures.
Composition: Self-propelled reconnaissance and guidance radar 1S91-ML; Self-propelled launcher 2P25-ML – 4 units; Transporting-loading vehicle 2T7M – 2 sets; Spare parts, tools and accessories kit.
Supporting systems: Remote command and control post (RCCP); Technical battery; External power supply;Radars P-18ML / MARS-L / PRV-16ML.
Main characteristics: Improved survivability and control capabilities; New data processing algorithms; Increased engagement and kill envelopes; New GPS-based positioning and navigation system; Significantly reduced maintenance and power consumption; Crew protection from HARM.

S-75-ML (Volga-ML)

Upgraded of Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) system S-75M3 (Volga, Volhkov, SA-2 Guideline) up to the level of S-75M3-ML “Volga-ML” is high-altitude, command guided system designed for point/area defence of administrative, industrial and military site against all types of air threats at low, medium and high altitudes.
S-75M3-ML efficiently destroys strategic, tactical and army aircraft, high speed reconnaissance aircraft, drifting aerostats, helicopters and cruise missiles with radar cross-section of 0.1 m2 and above.
S-75M3-ML can receive target designations from AMCP “Module” type or operate as a stand-alone system.
Composition: Missile Guidance Radar RSN-75B3-ML consisting of PV-ML fire control radar and UV-ML fire control cabin; SM-RB-75V-1-ML missile battery (consists of up to six SM-90ML launchers); power supply vehicle SAES-ML; spare parts, tools and accessories kit;
Supporting systems: target acquisition radars P-18ML, MARS-L and height-finder PRV-16ML; missile transporters; technical battery
